I separated the original .STL into two distinct objects, fixed the mesh in the handle, and repositioned them on the printing bed for easier printing. For my Hephestos print, I had to adjust the blade's z-axis by a few centimeters, shortening it from 19cm to 17.5cm. Print Settings Printer: BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25%-35% Notes: Supports: Only touching the printing bed. Handle rafts margin: 10mm Blade rafts margin: 15mm Infill is entirely up to you; I experimented with infill and wall thickness, even reaching 1.2mm. Post-Printing Removing Supports Even with a mere 10% density in a grid pattern, removing supports from the handle can be quite challenging. Employ pliers, a sharp xacto blade, and some sandpaper to achieve smooth surfaces. You will need to sand the entire prop to obtain a better, less poly look. Then you can add details inspired by the game references.
