I'm excited about using marbles or ball bearings for the eyes of creatures, so I added eye sockets and rotated and cut the model in half to make printing quicker with less support material required. If printed correctly, the "eyes" should simply snap into place. The right side snaps in slightly better than the left, which is probably due to a difference I made on each side, but I'm not sure what it was. You can test different size eyes by just printing an eye socket and scaling the model if needed. Previous tests showed that scaling it 164% for 0.625" dia marbles works well - but I haven't tried it with this file yet. Always measure the marbles before printing, as they have huge variances in size, which is why I prefer using ball bearings. Yes, you will need to glue the model together, but zip ties work great for holding the model together while gluing. Skyrim_375_eyes.stl is designed for 3/8" (0.375) diameter eyes. I used an XYZ Da Vinci Mini printer. I created the 3D model using AutoDesk Inventor with MeshEnabler and AutoDesk Meshmixer. I sliced the model using XYZware. Settings: No rafts were used. YES supports were included, which will leave scars on the inside of the model, a nice feature. 10% infill was used. Normal shell settings were applied. 0.20mm layer thickness was used. Medium speed was selected. The Skyrim_375_eyes.stl file required 12.5 meters of 1.75mm PLA filament to print. The run time for this print was approximately 5.5 hours.
