This replaces the cheap wooden parts on the plane which also happen to be the first to break when you inevitably crash. Retention clip and block are a friction fit so gear can be swapped on or off while still being strong when installed. Retention clip can be used with the stock wooden block but has to be taped in place. I shaved off 2mm of foam under the block to make it sit flush with the frame. Motor mount screw holes are slightly small so just run the screws in and out once before installing on the plane. Print without supports.
