I've designed a custom RC carrier board to replace my old plywood one, which cracked under the strain and wasn't fitting properly anyway. This new board is tailored specifically for my Creality ENDER 3 printer, printed without brim or skirt to ensure a snug fit. A two-piece design might have been wiser, but I'm happy with the single piece for now. UPDATE 14.04.2020: I've printed this version and wasn't impressed, so I created v5.0 and uploaded it here as well.
