3docean
Introduction The NorthLogic VFX Skydome HDRI collection is a high-dynamic range image series that showcases only the sky portion of an outdoor setting. The selected qualities under this brand typically feature cloudy and detailed skies, with natural exterior lighting conditions and no artificial sources, capturing all aspects of natural lighting. Description A mostly clear twilight sky with few clouds is captured in high detail for image-based lighting purposes. Only the top half of the HDRI sphere is shot, so if using VrayLight with the Dome-setting enabled, leave the "Spherical: full-dome" option unchecked. Product Includes Main Files Three 2-EV, OpenEXR, and Radiance image files with a massive resolution of 12750×3107. The original horizon is removed, and HDR is reprocessed for ghosting removal. Backplates A series of backplates with the horizon removed. 3DS Max Scene File A 3DS Max scene file that includes a ready-to-render HDR-lighting rig, as well as 14 high-quality Wood Shaders. The scene is compiled in 3DS Max 2012 64-bit version and uses VRay 2.20, with materials set to VRayMtl. Other Information Camera Canon EOS 60D equipped with Magic Lantern. Lens Samyang f/3.5/8mm fisheye lens with a 180-degree horizontal field of view. Usage The HDR-images are used in various 3D-formats to produce physically accurate lighting, recreating the lighting conditions present in the scene captured from the panorama. The most common target is achieving lifelike light conditions for architectural renders, but they can also be used to bring a bit of life into your fantastic 3D-scenes, elevating them from ordinary 3D-renders to hyperrealistic images.
