Skydome HDRI - Sunset Clouds IV

3docean

The Skydome HDRI-brand is a high-end collection of outdoor settings that feature only the sky portion. This selection showcases cloudy and detailed skies under natural exterior lighting conditions, without any artificial sources. The images capture all aspects of natural lighting. Description Skydome captures few sunset clouds in high detail for image-based lighting. Only the top half of the HDRI-sphere is shot, so if using VrayLight with Dome-setting enabled, leave "Spherical: full-dome" unchecked. Resolution The massive resolution of 12579×3032 allows the sky to be rendered directly from the viewport with considerable detail (tested with up to 8000 pixel wide renders). Backplates 18 megapixel processed backplates are included for better compositing freedom, straightened from the 8mm Samyang fisheye lens images. Exposure 7-step 2-EV settings were used via the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature. HDR-rig A DIY no-parallax rig was built on top of a "basic" tripod. Camera The Canon EOS 60D camera captured the scenes. Lens The Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens with 180 degrees of horizontal field of view was used to capture the images. Usage HDRI-images are used in various 3D-formats to produce physically accurate lighting, recreating the conditions present in the scene. The most common usage is for achieving lifelike light conditions in architectural renders and bringing 3D-scenes to life. Note: The backplates provided are based on images taken with the 8mm Samyang, which were then processed to remove excessive curvature done by the lens.
