Skydome HDRI - Sunset Clouds III
3docean
Introduction The Skydome HDRI collection showcases high-dynamic range images that capture only the sky portion of outdoor settings. This brand is renowned for its cloudy and detailed skies, which are illuminated solely by natural exterior lighting with no artificial sources. Each image meticulously captures all aspects of natural lighting. Description The collection features few sunset clouds captured in exquisite detail for use in image-based lighting. To ensure accurate rendering, only the top half of the HDRI sphere is used, so leave the "Spherical: full-dome" option unchecked when using VrayLight with Dome-enabled settings. Resolution With a massive resolution of 12580×3013, the sky can be rendered directly from the viewport with remarkable detail. This level of resolution has been tested to produce accurate results in renders up to 8000 pixels wide. Backplates To enhance compositing freedom, 18-megapixel processed backplates are included. These backplates were shot using an 8mm Samyang fisheye lens and then straightened for distortion correction. Exposure A total of seven exposures were taken with a 2-EV setting range using the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature. HDR-rig The DIY no-parallax rig was constructed on top of a basic tripod to ensure accurate capture of the scene. Camera A Canon EOS 60D camera was used to capture the images, equipped with a Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens that provides an impressive 180-degree horizontal field of view. Usage HDRI images are often misunderstood in their usage. In reality, they are employed in various 3D formats to recreate physically accurate lighting conditions present in the scene captured from the panorama. This enables a wide range of applications, including architectural renders and 3D scenes that require lifelike lighting conditions.
