Skydome HDRI - Sunset Clouds II

3docean

The Skydome HDRI Brand is a collection of high-dynamic range images showcasing only the sky portion of an outdoor setting. Typically, these images feature cloudy and detailed skies, with natural exterior lighting that captures all aspects of sunlight. Few sunset clouds captured in high detail are perfect for image-based lighting. Since only the top half of the HDRI-sphere is shot, when using VrayLight with Dome-setting enabled, leave the "Spherical: full-dome" unchecked. The massive resolution of 11828×3109 allows the sky to be rendered directly from the viewport with considerable detail, making it ideal for up to 8000 pixel wide renders. High-quality backplates are included in 18 megapixel processed images that have been straightened from the 8mm Samyang fisheye lens. This provides better compositing freedom and flexibility. The HDR-images are captured using a 7-step 2-EV setting, thanks to the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature. A DIY no-parallax rig is used on top of a basic tripod to achieve precise camera control. The images are shot with a Canon EOS 60D camera equipped with a Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens that offers an impressive 180 degrees of horizontal field of view. HDRI-images can be used in various 3D-formats to produce physically accurate lighting, recreating the exact conditions present in the scene. They are commonly used to achieve lifelike light conditions in architectural renders and bring a sense of realism to 3D-scenes. Note: The backplates provided are based on images taken with the 8mm Samyang lens, which are then processed to remove excessive curvature.
