The Skydome HDRI-brand features a collection of high-dynamic range images showcasing the sky portion of outdoor settings, with an emphasis on cloudy and detailed skies. These images are captured under natural exterior lighting conditions, without artificial sources, and encompass all aspects of natural illumination. Beautiful starlight skies with a sun rising from beneath the horizon are featured in this HDRI-sphere, which is shot in its entirety. When using VrayLight with the Dome-setting enabled, it's essential to select "Spherical: full-dome" for accurate rendering. The massive resolution of 12272×3472 allows for detailed rendering directly from the viewport, even at 8000 pixels wide. This package includes OpenEXR and Radiance HDR-files in full 360/180 panoramic versions. JPEG-backplates are also provided in a full 360/180 panoramic view. A 3-step 2-EV exposure setting was achieved using the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature. The HDR-rig utilized is a DIY no-parallax setup on top of a basic tripod. The camera used for capturing these images is the Canon EOS 60D, paired with the Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens, which offers an impressive 180 degrees of horizontal field of view. These HDR-images are versatile and can be utilized in various 3D-formats to produce physically accurate lighting conditions. They are commonly used to achieve lifelike light conditions in architectural renders, as well as to breathe life into 3D-scenes by recreating the actual lighting present in the scene captured from the panorama.
