Skydome HDRI - Brooding Clouds

3docean

The Skydome HDRI brand is a collection of high-dynamic range images that captures only the sky portion of an outdoor setting. These images typically feature cloudy and detailed skies, with natural exterior lighting conditions and no artificial sources. The result is a capture of all spheres of natural lighting. Overcast clouds are captured in high detail for image-based lighting, and only the top half of the HDRI sphere is shot. This means that if you're using VrayLight with the Dome setting enabled, be sure to uncheck the "Spherical: full-dome" option. The product includes a range of files, including 3-step 2-EV, OpenEXR, and Radiance image files with massive resolutions of 12568×3095. The original horizon has been removed from these images, and HDR reprocessing has been applied to reduce ghosting. In addition to the main files, this product also includes a series of backplates with the horizon removed. A 3DS Max scene file is also included, which features a ready-to-render HDR lighting rig and 14 high-quality concrete shaders. This scene has been compiled in 3DS Max 2012 64-bit version and uses VRay 2.20. The camera used to capture these images was the Canon EOS 60D with Magic Lantern, while the lens used was the Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens with a horizontal field of view of 180 degrees. These HDR images are versatile and can be used in a variety of 3D formats to produce physically accurate lighting conditions. They're perfect for recreating the lighting present in a scene, whether you're working on architectural renders or creating 3D scenes that need a bit of life injected into them.
