Skydome HDRI - Blue Moment

Introduction The Skydome HDRI Collection is a series of high-dynamic range images that capture only the sky portion of an outdoor setting, showcasing cloudy and detailed skies under natural exterior lighting conditions. These images display all spheres of natural lighting with no artificial sources. Description A beautifully captured blue moment in high detail, perfect for image-based lighting applications. Since the top half of the HDRI-sphere is shot, leave the "Spherical: full-dome" setting unchecked when using VrayLight with Dome-setting enabled to achieve optimal results. The treeline has been retained for better horizon alignment. Resolution The massive resolution of 10648×2902 allows the sky to be rendered directly from the viewport with considerable detail, even in high-quality renders up to 2000 pixels wide. Backplates 18-megapixel processed backplates are included for enhanced compositing freedom. These backplates have been carefully straightened from the original 8mm Samyang fisheye lens images. Exposure 5-step 2-EV settings were used via the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature to capture a wide dynamic range of lighting conditions. HDR-Rig A DIY no-parallax rig was built on top of a basic tripod to ensure precise camera control. Camera The Canon EOS 60D camera was used to capture these stunning images, providing excellent image quality and flexibility. Lens The Samyang f3.5/8mm fisheye lens with 180 degrees of horizontal field of view was used to capture the expansive sky and detailed surroundings. Usage These HDRI images can be used in a variety of 3D formats to produce physically accurate lighting, recreating the lighting conditions present in the scene from the panorama shot. The most common usage is for achieving lifelike light conditions in architectural renders, but they can also be used to bring 3D-scenes to life, elevating them from ordinary renders to hyper-realistic images.
