Sky SR101/SR102 Hub Power Supply Box
thingiverse
Sky, in their wisdom, opted to power down electronics from 230VAC to 5VDC within the Sky Hub box, employing an unconventional method that utilized a plug-mounted AC adapter instead of standard procedures. This decision has led to electromagnetic interference (EMF) emanating from the mains adaptor board, which disrupts the WiFi electronics and results in dropped connections and reduced WiFi range. The situation is further complicated by the use of low-quality antennas. This box accommodates the external mains board outside the Hub, and I designed it with a USB A-to-B lead connecting the box to the Hub. You'll need a USB B panel mount connector and Dupont-style female connectors to secure the Hub, as well as a spare USB male-to-female lead and Dupont male connectors for use within the adaptor box. The hinge pin is a 3mm rod measuring 84mm in length, which I had on hand. The closing screw is also a small self-tapping screw that I happened to have available. Unfortunately, the lid warped during construction due to our use of nylon.
