This spare leg is designed for the Sky Drone Pro V2, sold by Red5 and Menkind. Unfortunately, both retailers have been out of stock on spare legs, so after a heavy landing we needed a replacement leg for the Sky Drone Pro V2. Although injection molded parts would have been preferable, I sketched up this replacement, which honors the original's height. It is hollow and thin to keep weight down to minimum. The fitting to the body has two circles and a screw through the middle of one of them. Printed in grey here to make it visible for camera, black or strong colours look great on the drone. January 11, 2017 - I added V5 that uses even less plastic and is even lighter. It has a curve that tries to keep out of the camera's view. Print the leg in left and right pairs, mounting so as to provide the widest view for the camera between them. This version is flat on one side so it can be printed with less support. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% Notes: I printed this lying on its flat side, make certain you get it all out after printing as excess weight is a problem for drones. How I Designed This: Designed in 123D. Version 1: Measured up and drew something that would support the drone. Version 2: Did some learning around drafting object to create a curved version.
