Introducing Skulltruder gears for Printrbot or similar printers with Wade's accessible extruder. Based on Brook Drumm's Printrbot involute herringbone gears, these have been improved upon and cleaned up. Sculpted skull designs by ssd add a unique touch. Watch the gears come to life in this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFnkdYUqQWs. New 4mm drive gear available. Three versions of the Skulltruder now exist: 5/16 inch, 8mm, and a straight spur gear designed by jameswood, whose tooth profile was poached from thing #41808. The small skull on the small gear has been removed due to printing issues, while the new small gear features cleaned up teeth and strengthened set screw area. Both gears are designed to work together and were derived from Greg Frost's 9/43t herringbone extruder gear drive. If changing gears on your extruder, adjust mm/rotation calibration in firmware or slicing software accordingly.
