skullcrown
thingiverse
This is a unique design that combines the spooky essence of a skull with the regal majesty of a crown, making it perfect for Halloween decorations. I created this model in 3D Builder, where I mixed and matched various components to bring this concept to life. To slice the design into individual layers, I used Repetier's powerful software. Once sliced, I sent the file to my trusty Kora midi printer, which I had set up for optimal performance. Print settings were crucial in bringing this model to fruition. I heated the bed to a comfortable 50C and the hot end to a scorching 220C, using PLA as the material of choice. To give the design added stability, I opted for a 20% infill rate, which provided excellent internal support without compromising on print speed. To ensure that the model would retain its shape and structure, I generated supports throughout the entire design. This was achieved by carefully placing them in areas where the model's geometry required additional reinforcement. The printing process itself took around 10 hours to complete, a testament to the patience and dedication required for 3D printing. With the printer humming along, I waited anxiously for the model to take shape, eager to see the finished product.
