Skullcandy Crusher hinge ... last resort
thingiverse
A design flaw with Skullcandy is its build quality, where both hinges snapped apart just 48 hours after purchase. This project took a mere four hours to complete from start to finish, during which time I had to survive without my ear cups due to their absence. The inner piece of plastic was carelessly discarded and replaced with this new part, held in place by three cable ties. The finish is far from attractive, but the hinges function as intended, making me reasonably satisfied with them. PETG or PLA plastics are suitable for printing due to the negligible impact of their characteristics on the thin points secured by the ties. I found that printing with the Cube centered on the build plate produced the best results. Far superior designs exist elsewhere, but the use of small screws is a major drawback.
