Learn about its creation in the "Scanning in 3D" section of MakerBot's Getting Started guide, also featured in Make: Ultimate Guide to 3D Printing 2014. The picture displays the print in yellow Ultimachine PLA plastic. For optimal results with PLA on a Replicator, use default settings but increase extruder temperature to 210, heat bed plate (HBP) to 50, and layer height to .25mm; forego acceleration. If printing at larger sizes, consider using 13% infill and three extra shells, while reducing shells for smaller prints.
