Human skull formation starts with computed tomography scans. The skull itself serves as the foundation of our skeletons, safeguarding the brain, which acts as the core of our nervous system from damage. It consists of twenty-two flat bones making up the skull, and a part of the mandible was intentionally left out in this model. Skull anatomy comprises the cranium and lower jawbone, known as the mandible. Numerous channels and holes allow for cranial nerves and blood vessels to pass through, often referred to as foramina. An oval opening in the occipital bone connects a cavity of the skull directly to the spinal cord. Facial structure plays a crucial role here; facial skeleton determines the face shape, made up by a collection of facial bones that form the facial structure's core. On average, adults' head circumferences range between 52 and 64 cm or about 20.5-25 inches, lengths from 15 to 18 cm (6-7 inches), and widths from 12 to 15 cm (5-6 inches).
