Skull Cave Marker - Warmachine

Skull Cave Marker - Warmachine

thingiverse

This is a tabletop gaming marker designed for a Warmachine season challenge. I created it for the task, but it works well with almost any tabletop game. The marker sits on a 120mm base, which matches the size of a Warmachine/Hordes colossal, and can be scaled down easily to fit any size table. Instructions: Print the model with support layers for a solid base. Once printed, paint the details in your desired color scheme. Next, attach the base for a finished look. It's that straightforward. Note: I painted my model at a .3mm layer height and noticed that it shifted along the Y axis during printing. As a result, the skull resembles slate more than bone. For a cleaner design, you might consider printing with higher layers to achieve this texture effect. The unpainted version printed perfectly using .1mm layers, providing a sharp skull shape. The surrounding crystals look crisp and detailed in contrast. You can choose between the natural look of shale or the polished appearance of smooth rock depending on your personal preference for painting.
