Skull & Brain Keyring
thingiverse
Here's a small hollow skull consisting of a colorful brain crafted from Ninjaflex filament held firmly together by a screw. To replicate the model, locate and download two stl files containing the brain I created using Ninjaflex filament (heated to 225°C degrees and printing speeds set at 30 mm/sec for inner paths and 90 mm/sec for exterior paths), as well as the skull itself printed on transparent PLA (230°C degrees with speeds of 90mm/s for outer perimeters and 150 mm/sec for traveling moves, employing a layer thickness of 0.2 mm, with 10% infill density). Light sanding on the pre-drilled holes will yield an ideal fit for the screw once installed. To further optimize the design, I suggest increasing the infilling around the screw hole to approximately 30-40%. I want to note that my version of this model is a remixed adaptation from designs available on Thingiverse, although I regretfully cannot recall the exact original sources I used for inspiration.
