EDIT: Updated to include AU/UK US/EU regions. (Shaft_US)\r\n\r\nThis shifter is designed for use in Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator and fits directly onto the shaft of the G27 Logitech shifter unit.\r\n\r\nThe shifter uses a Pro-Micro or USB Emulator as the input device, essentially anything that can provide a "key press" with a switch. The Pro-Micro will fit snugly into the void of the shaft. To make it work seamlessly, I placed the Pro-Micro inside the G27 and ran a cable through a hole drilled in the center of the gear unit and into the shaft itself.\r\n\r\nThere is a threaded 6mm hole for securing the shaft to the G27 metal shaft with a bolt, as well as a standard 5.5mm hole for some USB cable for the switches.\r\n\r\nSpecific switches were chosen for this design. Type "R14-420" into Google to learn more about them - they are 15mm round and are SPDT switches that stay in position, not momentary.\r\n\r\nThe wiring is based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FNN00FSuHg\r\n\r\nMy design was loosely inspired by the Eaton Fuller knob but features a more rounded top and front. \r\nThe shaft and lid can be printed without supports, but the shaft will require a RAFT that is as wide as the top to aid in bed adhesion.\r\n\r\nOn the underside of the lid you'll notice a small half-moon hole - this serves as an orientation marker for the front of the lid, which should be centered above the front switch before pressing the lid on. \r\n\r\nPrinting on my Anet A8 with TH3D Firmware takes about 4 hours.\r\n\r\nThanks for looking! Enjoy and please share any modifications you make!\r\n\r\nNOTE: The side switch is mounted sideways, which I only realized after printing - this results in the lips of the switch not being flush. I'll likely update the design when I have time to ensure the side switch looks good if rotated or mounted upright. In a real truck, the switch would be pushed from back to front, which is how it's currently oriented.
