Name: Chess Pieces. Made in a bunker where Jews from Kolomyya hid during World War II. A complete set of chess pieces made by Pola Najder (1917-97) during World War II, when she and her husband and eight others hid in a bunker in Kolomyya. Due to lack of access to paint, all the pieces are the same color. To distinguish between black and white, half of them were marked with an "X" from underneath.
