A wooden figure of a ski racer stands proudly in Semmering, captured in all its glory during July 2018. Locals confirm that the figure received a thorough restoration in autumn 2018. The Hirschenkogel, now affectionately known as Zauberberg, has a rich history dating back over 100 years when it served as a popular winter sports resort. Situated on the border between Lower Austria and Styria, this mountain boasts an impressive altitude of 1340 meters above sea level. Since 1995, the Zauberberg has played host to regular ski races in the prestigious Alpine Ski World Cup.
