I always had a soft spot for boomerangs with extra twists in their wings, such as the Janetzi brothers' "Skippy." So here's my take on that idea: if the boomerang flies too low, just add a little more camber, i.e., bend the wingtips slightly upwards so they are a bit off the table (1 mm is plenty) when you put it down flat. My first print shown in the picture is rather dense (6 perimeters and 6 top and bottom layers). It requires a hard throw and has some nice 40-ish range.
