Skipping rope with 808 bearings

I wanted better skipping rope for my kids - lets be honest, i googled for the most expensive ones and took some inspiration from them, and designed ones i would like to use.

Bill of materials:

-2x handles

-2x endcaps

-2x M6x20mm bolts

-2x M6 nylock nuts

-2x 808Z or non-z bearings

These use friction-fitted 808 bearings and M6 bolts with nylock nuts. I am not sure about M6 length, but about M6x20mm should do it fine.

Drill a hole through the bolt to insert a fitting, like a keyring ring through it. If you find a better way to attach a rope, please drop a comment.

When fitting the nuts, please remember to use a piece of pipe that hits/squeezes the outer ring of bearing - never put stress on the ball bearings inside the bearing. Bashing with hammer will ruin the bearing.

Post makes!

I used eSun PLA+ red for the handles, any material should really do it.
Category: Toy & Game Accessories
