Skipping rope handles with detachable screw-down caps. UPDATE 02/03/18 - Modified STL files for intended printing orientation. I made these skipping rope handles with detachable screw-down caps for my 5-year-old daughter after she asked me to buy her a set from a shop. I thought I could do better and for cheaper, so here they are. They should be fairly easy to print. PLA is fine for these. Print two each of the 'Cap Body' and 'Handle Body' STL files. I printed them in different colors, as per photographs, for a nicer look. I used 8mm climbing rope (not sure of composition, possibly cotton/polyester or nylon) but it should be good quality rope with decent weight to it. Determine the correct length of rope for your height (http://www.rxsmartgear.com/how-to-size-your-rope/), thread the caps on and tie a single simple knot to secure, trim and screw cap down to handle body. Repeat for other end, and enjoy!
