My new lever started stripping around the 7/16" nut it turns, so I replaced it with a wing nut that would grip tighter. The threads were too aggressive for any standard nut, which is why they designed this one to require little rotation to tighten. This new replacement fits over the factory nut and uses the original lock washer from the lever.
