Here is the testing rig for the state challenge - that is available through your state director. A few things to note: The latest files have been uploaded here. There are TWO options. Option 1 involves removing all USB ports, where the "Removed" file attached features a 12mm x 4.5mm cutout for a female USB receiver port. However, it's been suggested that this design should actually incorporate a male USB plug instead of a female receiver, as it's more easily sourced and modelled in CAD. To achieve this, use the recommended instructions and insert your own male USB port using the attached CAD file. Alternatively, students can utilize the CAD files for the female port available here to approximate the location of the USB port and determine whether their submission obstructs plugging in. Students should design their USB plug accordingly, keeping in mind that printers will vary in resolution and fine feature detail.
