For the 2022 Robotics Showdown - SME teamed up with Stratasys and FANUC, renowned supplier of industrial robotics systems, CNC technology, and cutting-edge automation solutions, to design a real-world manufacturing scenario involving the assembly line of a full-production sedan. Contestants had to devise, craft, and install an innovative end-of-arm tool (EOAT) in this challenging, yet replicable simulation environment, demonstrating their expertise in concept development, meticulous 3D modeling, relentless prototyping, and successful tool integration with robotic precision. Once finalized, these exceptional designs will be shared with the global engineering community.
