The versatile Skid-Steer Loader with Bucket Attachment is a game-changer on construction sites. Typically designed as four-wheel vehicles, these machines feature synchronized wheels on each side, where the left-side drive wheels can operate independently of their right-side counterparts. With no separate steering mechanism in sight, the wheels maintain a fixed straight alignment on the machine's body. To turn, differential steering comes into play, where the left and right wheel pairs are operated at different speeds, causing the machine to skid or drag its fixed-orientation wheels across the ground. Louis Keller of Edgeley, ND, and his brother Cyril made history by inventing the Skid-Steer Loader, which was later acquired in 1958 by Melroe Manufacturing Co. from Gwinner, ND. This company would eventually evolve into the renowned Bobcat Co.
