Ski Mask Holder - slim & permanent hold
thingiverse
Yet another remix of well-aging design. Two changes introduced: 1) the base is slimmer (2mm instead of 3,5) - it is not so bulky, saves a bit of material, installs easier, prints a tiny bit faster (however typically you print several of them at once for all ski-party friends so it matters), and should hopefully be still enough from structural strength perspective 2) there is a hole-through the cone which enables to pull through the mask strings and thus fix the mask "permanently" (until untied). Installing such cone on one side of the helmet will allow to take the mask off the face without the need to store it some place (e.g. pocket) every time. You can leave it to hang in the air (if it does not bother you) or tie the mask backwards behind the helmet. Both versions are printed easily without any supports. Prints tested with 0.2 and 0.35 prints with 20% infill however with extra perimeters (6) just to increase structural strength. Printed with PETG but I expect it will work with any other material well. Prints and fucntions tested on a helmet however not yet on the slope. Print and use at own risk: my worry is that any such holder is installed on a soft surface of the helmet thus in a rare coincidence this could push against human skull badly (if you hit hard sruface sidewise - unlikely but not entirely impossible). Thus - formally speaking - don't use it on a ski slope, it is for demonstration purposes only ;)
