SKEWBITS is an original puzzle game designed specifically for 3D printing. Fit the four unique Skewbits into various silhouettes. You may be surprised by how challenging some of the problems can be! Watch my video to learn more Basic Rules Fit the 4 hinged Skewbits within each outline. You do not have to fill every space, but most solutions will. Only use the Skewbits right side up. You may not flip the parts upside down ------------------------------------------ This download includes the grid and puzzle pieces, premium upgrades, problems 001-040, and a solution guide PDF. ------------------------------------------ Printing Guidelines Grid.stl : Your usual print settings should work fine. I used 15% infill, 5 top layers, 0.2mm layer height. Optionally, swap filament above 1.2mm to make the grid stand out. Skewbits A-D : 2-3 perimeters, 0.16mm layer height. No supports. Proper extrusion is important to ensure the print-in-place hinges are sturdy without fusing together (Clearance is 0.3mm). Use the colors indicated by the filenames if you want to match the solution guide. Prints right side up Grid_TPUgrip.stl : Optional grip for the bottom of the grid. Print solid using Ninjaflex TPU (Also on Amazon) or similar. Glue in place using E6000 adhesive, etc. Grid_LaserGrip.svg : Optional grip for the bottom of the grid. Designed for lasercutting. I used 3mm cork. Watch my video for details. Problems (001.stl-040.stl) : Print solid, 2 perimeters, 0.22mm layer height*NOTE: The default orientation of this puzzle is to print upside-down (so any squash on the first layers doesn't affect fit). Make sure you orient correctly when playing the game! The puzzle number is embossed on the bottom side of each problem, make sure it's upright. You can use a filament swap or mark the bottom with markers if you need to make things more clear.* Premium Board + Case : This is an upgraded version of the SKEWBITS board. The thicker board snaps onto the various cases which can be used to store SKEWBITS problems. There is also a cover that snaps over the top of the board, so you can store all the bits in one nice package. The cover can be printed blank, or use multipass printing to include the logo on the lid using the LogoA.stl and LogoB.stl versions of the cover. The 'thin' cover can be used to close the problem containers instead of the Premium board. This is useful if you have a lot of skewbits problems, so they can be stored in multiple containers. Containers comfortably fit 10,15,20 and 25 pieces. For more than than I would suggest using multiple containers. For best results, store problems flat one by one. PLA parts smushed together may deform over time! ------------------------------------------ Special thanks to Darci Peoples for creating an awesome SKEWBITS Solver which helped me share more solutions than I would’ve found myself! You can try out the SKEWBITS Solver on GitHub here or visit darcipeoples.com to see more of her impressive work :) Photographed models were printed using PolyTerra Matte PLA (US Link) Also on Amazon
