Skew Planar 5.8 Antenna soldering jig
thingiverse
This redesigned soldering jig for a 5.8GHz antenna is an outcome of extensive trial and error with individual lobe soldering. It facilitates holding all parts at the correct position and angle, allowing for quick disassembly post-soldering to remove the antenna. This jig enables simultaneous soldering of all pieces, saving time compared to separate soldering. The wire length is 53mm with side bends measuring 13mm (based on IBcrazy's tutorial). For assembly and usage instructions, refer to the provided tab, along with print settings. Test results will be shared soon, and feedback or images showcasing the jig's impact are highly appreciated. Print all pieces at .1mm resolution; higher resolutions may not work effectively. The skew planar jig requires printing two main halves, four clips, and one bottom piece, assembled as per the image. Lobe bending should be done separately before placement in the jig's grooves for optimal fitment. The cloverleaf design is currently incomplete.
