Sketchbook decoration kit in japanese style
thingiverse
I got inspired by my dull sketchbook and decided to give it a Japanese makeover. I envisioned creating a tiny herbarium of real sakura, flourishing in the dedicated Sendai square garden. Unfortunately, my design didn't quite turn out as planned - when I attached the sakura image to the cover, it developed wrinkles that I had to conceal with extra details and gold paint. Initially, I aimed to just decorate the corners of my sketchbook, but then I stumbled upon the Olde Bookbinding Fittings for Notebook on Thingiverse and crafted my own design based on those models. I also created custom mounts for erasers and pens or pencils. While these designs might not be suitable for all books, notebooks, and sketchbooks, they could definitely benefit from scaling or tweaking. To create functional hinges for the lock and an eraser case, try using paper clips!
