Skeleton Hands Door Handle

We've all got skeletons in the closet, yeah?Well, why not complete the look with these skeleton hands door handles that are a direct replacement for the ones that come with Ikea Pax wardrobes? These are quite small - fit the Pax wardrobe doors that are about 18mm thick, but also will go onto the ones with mirrors on the front. Would likely fit other doors too, but part of the thumb is printed on the inside and this might interfere with thicker doors - feel free to remix it though.I printed in bone white PLA+ at .2 with a .4 nozzle. I found that the best orientation is to lay the bracket back at 45 degrees and have support and adhesion on - the thumb and pointer finger are really the only parts that need to be supported in that orientation, so use “from baseplate only” to generate decent supports that don't print on the model. I printed them one at a time to reduce the chance of stringing across the tops of the fingers.Print with high fill for strength, but these are likely to get snagged and break eventually I would say. Still, only a couple of hours to print the pair, so they can be replaced easily.Another hack that might be cool - after they are installed, warm them up with a hairdryer and give the fingers a more knarled look, rather than being perfectly symetrical. There is a left and right hand file, which are just mirrored, and they can be installed with thumbs up or down.Perfect for terrorising the kids at Halloween - why not print a set and install them as a surprise!(I'm not responsible for any therapy later in life)Enjoy!
