Skeleton burial (Mušov-Burgstall)
sketchfab
During a rescue excavation at Aqualand Moravia's southeastern hillside in Hradisko's Mušov (Mušov-Burgstall), archaeologists uncovered and documented a skeletal grave approximately 40 meters behind two parallel fortification ditches associated with Roman troops during the Marcomannic wars. A Roman knee brooch and radiocarbon dating pinpoint the burial to the second half of the 2nd century AD, a tumultuous period likely linked to Roman military activity. Despite this connection, it remains unclear how closely tied the grave was to the Roman presence.
