Skelestruder for Prusa i3 MK2
thingiverse
This modification of the Skelestruder for Prusa i3 mk2 was made because I have that printer and wanted to mount that extruder on it. STEP files for all models provided if you want to modify this further. Changes: 1) The x carriage was made a bit slimmer (to make it the same width as the original mk2 carriage) and an endstop lever was added. 2) The position of the cable holder on the x carriage cover was changed based on where the mk2.5 has it to make the cable clear the MK2's narrower frame. To do that, the part had to be made a bit thicker and an extra nut and bolt were added but the weight should not be significant. 3) The shape of the cable holder was changed up a bit to allow for better routing of cables. 4) The PINDA probe holder was made to hold the probe at the right location for the mk42 heatbed. 5) The probe height adjustment knob was made smaller to accommodate the new probe position. The models that need them have integrated supports that should break off easy enough. Assembly: Put a standard m3 nut into the hex-shaped hole inside the new x carriage cover. Mount the cable holder to that new hole using an m3x10 bolt. Break the integrated support off the new x carriage. Push an m3 bolt through the hole on the probe holder, it should break the integrated support off and reveal a hex-shaped hole. Put an m3 nut into the hole. The rest is identical to original Skelestruder, just use my parts instead of the original ones. For mounting the x cariage cover to the x carriage, use an m3x25 bolt.
