Skekung The Garthim Master From The Dark Crystal

The Garthium Master, a giant in both physical stature and fiery temper, held sway as General within the Emperor's Court, his imposing figure commanding respect as he stalked the dark corridors of the crystal castle. He was a force to be reckoned with, frequently bursting into rage at all that provoked him, and there were many things that enraged him deeply. Two things in particular left him at odds, and it often took him great effort to decide which one he hated more. First, there were the scrawny, fragile Gelfings who made perfect targets for his wrath, their limbs torn from their bodies with a ferocity that was both shocking and satisfying. Next, there was Skeksil, the Chamberlain, whom he clashed with constantly over favor with the Emperor. The root of this animosity lay in more than just disdain for the Chamberlain; it was also rooted in each man's conviction that they were the rightful ruler, destined to be chosen by the Emperor as his successor. Both men were sadly mistaken. Working from concept art created by Brian Froud, I've been experimenting with some basic models, and there was something about capturing the General's complexions, skeletal structure, and overall displeased demeanor that drew me in. Adding a decorative base made it easier to print, but I wanted to take it further.
