Skateboard Wall and Ceiling Hanger
thingiverse
This is a small bracket for semi-permanently hanging skateboards on a wall or ceiling, designed to hold boards in place with style and convenience. The boards are removable but not quickly, making this more suitable for decorating than storing your board. The compact size allows you to print several brackets at once, as I did with eight units without any issues. The center hole is for a 3/16" x 2" toggle bolt wall anchor. The holes on either side are for 10-24 (or 10-32) 2 1/2" or 3" flat head machine screws, which I purchased at Home Depot along with two nuts for each bolt - one to attach it to the bracket and another to secure the board to the bolt. The 10-24 bolts pass through one pair of truck mounting holes on each truck, while the wall anchor should be long enough to fit all the way into the wall and expand when fully seated - a 2" bolt is sufficient for drywall, but may not be enough for plaster+lathe construction. The bolt holes are precision-cut to fit snugly, while the wall anchor hole allows for some flexibility, making it easier to line up the holes, especially when using two brackets per board. The bolt holes are countersunk on one side to ensure a flush finish once tightened down. For more information, please refer to the pictures below that show how I set them up and installed. I found that 2 1/2" 10-24 bolts work well for boards with less kickup on the tail and nose (old school 70s and 80s boards), while my old Tony Hawk medallion board required a longer 3" bolt due to its significant kickup.
