The skateboard's axels comprise two essential parts, the baseplate and hanger, which are bonded by a 'kingpin'. The connection allows for smooth turning thanks to a bolt with rubber bushings. Seven evenly spaced ball bearings within a retainer facilitate the wheels' rotation around the axel. Stainless steel (AISI 440C) shields protect each bearing, with a density of 7800 kg/m3 and a modulus of elasticity of 200GPA.
