Skateboard Trucks

This is a prototype model designed for testing and display purposes only, never intended to replace the actual product! If you do decide to experiment with it, be cautious and use proper protective gear to avoid any potential risks. I created this weekend project to unwind from other projects and spark my creativity. I successfully printed both the base unit and the hanger, along with the bushings. The skateboard used as a reference is an affordable one that I measured carefully, utilizing its existing screws, nuts, and washers. A 195mm long M8 threaded rod runs through it, securely holding the wheel in place. The design relies heavily on this rod, so you can adjust the orientation to suit your needs when printing it with support. This model is printed using thick layers of Carbon Fiber-infused Nylon with a high infill percentage. Although the CF will provide some stability to the hanger, the nylon may flex under impact, causing the steel rod to bend. You can find the full story behind this project on my Patreon page. Overall, it was a fun and engaging concept model project that allowed me to express my creativity.
