This is a prototype model designed for testing and demonstration purposes. Never attempt to use these as substitutes for genuine products! If you decide to try them out, exercise extreme caution and utilize proper safety gear. Use at your own risk. I created this project over the weekend as a fun diversion from other projects that were weighing on my mind. I printed both the base and hanger components, along with the bushings. The skateboard was a low-cost model that I used to obtain measurements from, and I also utilized its existing screws, nuts, and washers. The design heavily relies on an 195mm long M8 threaded rod that runs through it, holding the wheel in place. To provide a fresh perspective, I approached the orientation differently, but you can print it however you prefer with support structures. This particular model was printed using thick layers of Carbon Fiber infused Nylon, with a high level of infill density. While the CF will offer some stability to the hanger, the Nylon may flex under high impact, and the steel rod is likely to bend. For the full story behind this project, please visit my Patreon page.
