This was a weekend hobby project that I worked on for fun, taking a break from other projects. My goal was to clear my mind and have some creative time. I printed both the base and hanger parts, along with the bushings. The skateboard is an inexpensive one that I used as reference for measurements and existing screws, nuts, and washers. A 195mm long M8 threaded rod runs through the entire design, securing the wheel in place. This project is highly dependent on this rod's strength. You can print it any way you like, using support if needed. This model was printed with thick layers of Carbon Fiber-infused Nylon, featuring a high level of infill. Although the CF adds stability to the hanger, the Nylon will flex under high impact and the steel rod may bend. For the full story behind this project, check out my Patreon page.
