Skateboard Trucks
pinshape
This is a conceptual prototype used for testing and demonstration purposes only, not intended to replace actual products. Use at your own risk and with proper safety precautions. I created this weekend project for personal enjoyment and as a mental break from other projects I've been working on. The base and hanger were printed along with the bushings. A low-cost skateboard served as the reference point, allowing me to use its existing screws, nuts, and washers. A 195mm long M8 threaded rod runs through the entire design, holding the wheel in place. The orientation of this model was approached from a different perspective than usual, but feel free to print it with support if needed. This particular prototype is made from thick layers of carbon fiber-infused nylon with high infill levels. Although the CF will provide some stabilization to the hanger, exposed to significant impact, the nylon may flex and the steel rod could bend. A full account of this project can be found on my Patreon page. Despite being a conceptual model, I enjoyed working on it as a fun side project.
