In this weekend project, a concept model was created for fun and a mental break from other tasks. The base and hanger, along with bushings, have been printed. A low-cost skateboard served as the measurement source while utilizing existing screws, nuts, and washers. A 195mm M8 threaded rod is the central component holding the wheel and influencing the design. Experimenting with orientation, this model can be printed in various ways using support. Printed with thick layers of carbon fiber-infused nylon and high infill, it offers stability but may flex under high impact, potentially bending the steel rod.
