This can be used to recreate the skateboard hole jig as described or you can use it for any other kind of hole jig that uses 80/20 style t-slot aluminum. We wanted the holes to stay perfectly parallel but also spread the pattern apart for different sized skateboards. Once all the prints are done, I will add another picture showing them being used on our longboards. Instructions: To get started, you'll need about 40-50 inches of 1-inch t-slot aluminum, which in 80/20 brand is called 10-10. You will also need two pieces of 3 inch by 6 inch aluminum marked and drilled using the hole jig template print. Note that the holes on the template are small, but should fit a mechanical pencil if needed. Instead of using this jig myself, I marked everything with a height gauge. Since I haven't even printed the jig yet, I think it's a great way for others to mark their plates without measuring. First, cut the aluminum on the table saw and then drill holes in a drill press to keep them straight. To avoid mistakes, I drilled one hole at a time, then bolted the aluminum together as I went to keep them aligned. Next, you'll need 8 pieces of 10-32 bolts and nuts, preferably 1/2 inch long since the ones shown were too long for my setup. You will also need 8 t-slot nuts and bolts, which can be printed using a thingiverse model or purchased as needed. Just remember that the right size width is necessary for these to work properly. With the correct nut size, they fit in really well when inserted correctly. Lastly, you'll need 4 prints of the jig, all made on an Ultimaker 2 printer. All tolerances were based on our known variables during printing, so your results may vary.
