Skate Guard
thingiverse
I've already made the necessary purchases, snagging my daughter some brand new skates and conveniently forgetting the crucial skate guards in the process. However, after a swift brainstorming session, I quickly conjured up a makeshift design that may not be perfect but effectively gets the job done. The best part? It can be printed sans support, making it all the more convenient for users. To secure this makeshift guard in place, simply utilize two hair elastics - and voila! A solution born out of necessity has taken shape. For reference, I've uploaded an STL file for a 18cm long skate guard. Feel free to tinker with the SCAD-file if you're looking to adjust the length to suit your needs. One thing that would really take this design to the next level is any advice or suggestions on how it can be improved - please do share your thoughts!
