Skate Bearings Pillow Block

Skate Bearings Pillow Block

thingiverse

I created a few single bearing pillow block mounts, but they couldn't withstand the stress I was putting on them, so I designed and built one from scratch that's bigger, reinforced with gussets, and holds two skate bearings. A small hand press is used to install the bearings, requiring you to hold them firmly in place. The low-resolution circles actually work to your advantage as they grip the bearing's surface when it deflects slightly during insertion. The mounting holes are sized to fit standard Meccano dimensions, making this custom-built solution compatible with a wide range of components. This innovative design was created using Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jwDFR9xArfW.
