SJ1000 Action Camera motorcycle helmet mount
thingiverse
The mount I use for my SJ1000 camera on my helmet demands a specific setup: 5mm nuts and bolts, coupled with Black SJ3540 (250) 3M Dual Lock Tape (available at Amazon), to securely attach it to the helmet. This mounting system performs flawlessly under rain or shine conditions. To achieve a seamless fit, I recommend holding the part on your helmet while it's still warm from the heated bed. As per the printing guidelines, supports are unnecessary for this project. Once printed, use a file or hole borer to create 5mm Bolts and consider incorporating locking nuts for extra stability. For successful attachment, you'll require the original SJ1000 camera mounts and a supply of small nuts and bolts; if not available, enlarging them with a pen knife is an acceptable solution. Additionally, take advantage of the camera arm mount's built-in feature – a hole for securing fishing wire using a safety pin attached to the helmet's fabric. In extreme circumstances where the adhesive may fail, this ensures your setup remains stable. As a testament to its reliability, even a high-impact incident involving rain didn't cause issues for me. If you need further details on my mounting process or would like more images, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to provide additional insights!
