Six coasters based on Fermat's Spiral - http://mathworld.wolfram.com/FermatsSpiral.html - Spiral_coaster_4.stl is perhaps the most interesting one, showcasing two Fermat spirals that are 90 degrees rotated with respect to each other. The four ends are connected to interior points to form an approximate octagon, as seen in the middle coaster of the above image. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.3 mm The OpenSCAD Program The openSCAD code is straightforward; a two-dimensional drawing of the spiral is created and made three dimensional with a single openSCAD command.
